SSSTS Site Supervisor Safety Training

Through an understanding of legal responsibilities supervisors can better contribute to the instruction, supervision and monitoring of safety on site. The SSSTS course is an ideal foundation for attaining a basic understanding of health & safety duties and responsibilities for junior management in construction work.
This course ensures that all those given supervisory responsibilities understand:
- Why they are carrying out their identified duties
- What is expected of them and to ensure that they contribute to safety in the workplace
- How health and safety law is structured
- The need for method statements and how to carry out risk assessments

Contents:

The SSSTS training course consists of theory instruction including:

  • An introduction to health and safety, environmental and welfare issues supervisors may face
  • Understanding the legal responsibilities relevant to health and safety on site
  • Giving an understanding of the occupational health problems within the construction industry and what is expected of a site supervisor
  • How to carry out risk assessments and understanding the need for method statements
  • How to carry out inductions and toolbox talks
  • Understanding of how health and safety law is structured
  • The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and regulations relevant to the construction industry

This course is designed for those who have supervisory responsibilities in the construction industry. It helps to develop a basic understanding of health and safety and responsibilities at work.
Upon successful completion of the SSSTS course, you will receive an industry recognised CITB certificate which is valid for five years

Trainee Requirements:

A form of photographic ID :- Passport , Driving Licence 
No previous experience is required in order to take this training course. Delegates must have a good understanding of spoken and written English in order to attend some of our courses.
